CLEANING GUIDE
IN EVERY ROOM THROUGHOUT YOUR RESIDENCE
*Clean/dust light fixtures and switch plates.
*Clean woodwork including doors, trim, and baseboards *Please use Murphy's Oil Soap if woodwork has not been painted.
*Spot clean walls as needed to remove fingerprints, food particles, scuff marks, etc.
*Clean closets and dust shelves to remove all items in closet, even empty hangers.
*Clean windows and sills.
*Vacuum/clean/dust stairs, banisters, spindles, etc.
*Clean floor - vacuum carpet and/or mop hardwood and/or linoleum floors.
*Clean/dust light fixtures, switch plates, and fans.
*Clean fireplace including mantel, sweep out ashes if necessary, clean doors, dust bricks, remove wax drippings, etc.

KITCHEN
*Clean refrigerator inside and out (including top). Remove all food and drink. The easiest way to clean the interior is to remove the drawers and shelves. Clean out all remnants of drips, crumbs, dried sauces, etc. Put some muscle into it!
When finished cleaning fridge, unplug it and prop open doors (if doors are closed, it will cause a mold problem and will result in the need for additional cleaning and possibly a deduction from your deposit).*Pull fridge away from wall and scrub floor where appliance was.
*Dust coils on back of fridge.
*Clean interior and exterior of stove, including underneath the drip pans. The easiest way to clean the drip pans is to remove them. Use an oven cleaner to clean the interior of the oven. Read the directions on the can. * Quick-tip= You can also use oven cleaner for under the burners and on top of the stove to remove the grease.
*Clean out dishwasher. Remove any lime build-up or dirt.
*Clean faucet, sprayer, sink and countertops.
*Clean out inside and outside of all cabinets. Remove all food particles, crumbs, dirt, etc.
*Clean exhaust fan/range hood.
*Clean entire floor don't forget to clean under all appliances (stove and fridge). Scrub if necessary, depending on floor finish. *Remember to be very careful in moving the appliances as to not scratch the floor or tear the vinyl.
BATHROOMS
*Clean sink, faucets, and countertop.
*Clean out vanity, drawers, cabinets, and base cabinets.
*Clean mirror.
*Scrub inside and outside of toilet (do not forget the base of the toilet).
*Scrub inside bathtub/shower and walls. Remove all soap scum and lime.
WASHER & DRYER
*Clean washer and dryer inside and out. Don't forget to clean out the lint traps.
EXTERIOR
*Pick up all litter surrounding house/apartment.
*Sweep front and back porches.
